Fire engines called to tackle blaze in Stevenson Square

Fire engines were called out to Stevenson Square this morning as a blaze broke out in the unit which houses Hula, The Fitzgerald and the former Rosylee.

It's suspected that the fire, which started in the basement, was caused by an electrical fault, although no official cause has been confirmed yet.

The alarm was first raised at around 7am this morning, and five fire engines were initially sent to the scene.

The flames were tackled, but four fire engines remain at the scene now.

There are no reported injuries and it's not believed that anyone was in the building at the time of the fire.
